Ending The War On My Body: The Show

Ending the War On My Body an evening-length work born of the poems from Katherine McClintic’s book, Ending The War On My Body, premiered at Gibney: Agnes Varis Performing Arts Center on November 5th to an invite-only matinee attended by the cast, crew, creatives, and their friends and family who worked on Ending The War On My Body. The evening show was sold-out and stand room only.

The evening weaves a concert length dance piece, 6 short films, music, and a selection of poetry readings centered around body image, self-esteem, and the slow path to peace within our own skin. Katherine McClintic's poetry collection Ending the War on My Body is at the heart of the performance, her choreography and production paired with the vision and work of over 60 collaborators.
