Ending the War On My Body
“Ending the War On My Body” is a multidisciplinary theatrical piece featuring six short films, a musical score, and spoken-word and choreographed performances alongside poems from my published collection of the same name. Katherine McClintic is the creator, writer and executive producer behind this project made in association with Soul Series Productions.
With transparency and tenderness, this project invites the audience to reclaim their embodiment and heal from body dysmorphia and disordered eating while challenging bioessentialist, patriarchal, and white supremacist ideals that thrive in our current diet culture.
About The Films
A series of short films taken from poems in Ending the War On My Body and transformed into narratives by 3 women who add their own perspecitives to this experimental, surreal, imaginative and at times horrifying landscape.
Each unique narrative leads us through the trenches of disembodiment and into the soft victory of learning to love one’s body.
Explore each individual film below and the team’s in front of and behind the camera that brought the poems to life.

Greenlighting a film is a creative expression in its own right and could not have been possible without our 250 donors.
